We are family De Causmaecker and we would like to share our passion with you. Het Waterland is a unique foundation: it’s not only where we are from, but it also defines who we have become and how we have to adapt help.
We have inherited our entrepreneurial values from our parents Noel & Nadine. Each of us has his own interests and talents, but they all come together into one common story and purpose: Het Waterland.

Dries De Causmaecker
We are the De Causmaecker family and have been joining forces in a rather informal, but unified manner for several years.
Our love for our region and our passion for our products and services, paired with the current food and business trends, made us shift gears and streamline the existing businesses in their connections to customers.
Agriculture
Het Waterland Agro or “The Farm” is our family's farm in the middle of the polders. This is where we grew up and got in love with Het Waterland and its environment.

Halifax
Since 2020, we have established a partnership with restaurant Gasthof Halifax (www.gasthofhalifax.be), for which we at Het Waterland exclusively breed delicious ox meat of the finest quality. The unique aspect of this partnership is the direct supply of premium quality products from the farm Het Waterland to the restaurant Halifax, providing the customer as well as the end consumer the full transparency along the value chain, while also reducing the processing steps.
Bakerij Knapen
Since 2019, a unique partnership between a baker, passionate for local produce, and the farm Het Waterland. The common values behind the cooperation are trust, quality and high transparency for the end-consumer, who is then able to buy bread and pastries in Bakerij Knapen produced with the Het Waterland high quality flour without any chemical additives.
